Our client has secured additional funding from VC to accelerate their rapid growth. Not only do they already have big construction customers, providers, and fleet owners, but they also have an elite board of directors. The team is made up of industry leaders in heavy equipment with a track record of driving high growth and 10x plus valuations for the companies they’ve led.
Our client is a B2B SaaS company with a software platform focused on the heavy equipment & construction management industry. Their unique SaaS platform monitors and tracks heavy equipment so that its customers can proactively address equipment needs to maximize uptime, increase productivity, and reduce operating costs. Our client's platform is configured to customers' needs through its robust set of modules and integrations to deliver:
- Fleet Owners: Save time and money by effectively managing equipment fleets to increase uptime and reduce operating expenses by preventing surprise equipment issues and staying ahead of maintenance events.
- Equipment manufacturers/dealers: Improve profitability and customer loyalty by enabling dealers to effectively co-manage equipment with customers through a ground-breaking unified operating system approach.
Compensation
- Base Salary - $175K base salary
- Bonus Potential – Up to 25% bonus potential
- Options Package – Founding member-level options package

Our Construction-Tech client has the vision to transform their software platform and create a Construction Equipment OS, or a single source of truth, where Providers and Fleet Owners can add their equipment, technology, providers, and users in one connected control panel. They are building more than a software platform; they’re building an operating system that brings people, processes, and technology together for co-equipment management. They need to hire a CTO to own their existing technology platform and transform it into a cohesive technology platform to help realize their vision.
Responsibilities
- Technology Leadership: Provide strategic vision and leadership for all technology-related aspects of the company. Collaborate with the management team to align technology initiatives with business goals.
- Team Management: Lead and mentor a talented team of engineers and developers. Foster a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and high performance.
- Develop Product: In addition to leading and managing, also be able to develop products alongside the internal and external development teams.
- Product Lifecycle: Oversee the end-to-end product development lifecycle, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality software solutions. Work closely with the product team to bring innovative features to market.
- Architecture and Scalability: Design and implement scalable, robust, and secure systems that can support the company’s growth. Stay abreast of industry trends and technological advancements.
- Technical Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive technology roadmap. Assess and recommend emerging technologies to enhance the company’s competitive position.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure technology solutions align with business requirements. Foster effective communication between technology and other departments.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential technology-related risks. Implement robust security measures to safeguard company and customer data.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage the technology budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and cost-effective solutions.
Minimum Requirements
- Proven Leadership: 7 + years of demonstrated success in leading and scaling technology teams, ideally in a startup environment.
- Technical Expertise: Strong technical background with experience in software development, architecture, and deployment. Proficient in relevant programming languages and frameworks.
- Must have the ability to architect, develop in, and manage people in the following tech stack:
- Future Potential Migration (Still in Discussion) - Vue.js, Node.js, MongoDB
- Nice to Have - Versori or like technology for native integrations and custom workflows
